As part of my degree project, I have, along with Moa Ishizaki, Andrea Langendorf and Lisa Sandström, chosen to conduct a symposium in visual arts education: a platform in which we invite didactic conversations.
The background of my work is based on the 2023 art biennial in Gothenburg that interpreted the concept of queer, re-examined contemporary life and highlighted society’s current permacrisis. The biennial involved an examination of different constant crisis situations and what consequences they create in the form of change and development. The experience of the exhibition awoke some trains of thought in me which I have chosen to further examine in my degree project; thoughts and questions about how I as a single individual could help young people in the schools keep up in a world of constant change and development in a legally secure way, when I myself don’t keep abreast of everything new that is happening and have not mastered new technology, but want to highlight the new areas of knowledge.
The themes of the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (CIBCA) resonate and interact with the theory behind collegial learning, which is a form of cooperation and knowledge exchange for teachers. This is what my part of the symposium will deal with.
