Rays of sun streaming through the leaves of a tree, creating light figures on the ground like small spotlights blinding you. The flickering light disrupts your vision as you try to focus. It feels like the beams, in a childish way, are eager to find their way to the ground. You can’t escape it; you see shadows everywhere you go.
Natural light phenomena encompass a wide array of captivating occurrences. From the gentle diffusion of sunlight through clouds to the dramatic interplay of shadows during sunrise and sunset. Through light and materiality, situations and spaces appear, triggering different feelings and bodily experiences. Could a created interior recreate these feelings and experiences, reminding us of genuine daylight in the absence thereof?
