Body Talks
Our bodies and movements are in constant interaction with the environment around us. Architecture comes alive when we move within it. The rooms in which we live and move affect us bodily and existentially.
My degree project focuses on space, body and atmosphere and how they relate to each other. The project is rooted in my interest in how the body is essential to our perception of spatialities. My background as a dancer has given me a body knowledge and I want to examine how I can implement this in the field of interior architecture.
My project takes place in a contemporary retail space at Odengatan 89 in Stockholm. By examining space, body and atmosphere during my design process, I have created a design proposal for a restaurant and bar.
