In my degree project Prologue: The King of the Forest, I want to show how the human drama plays out in the forest. There, in my fairy tale worlds, there are both animals and nature. Sometimes people I meet become animals and get to be part of my artistic tale. I want to bring our conceptions about who it is we see in front of us to a head. King Fox Gianttail and King Badger Silverclaw are two of the actors. Who would they be, if they were not animals?
Sometimes I hope that we recognise ourselves and sometimes I appreciate the mystery, that the viewer can go and think for a while about what is going on.
Perhaps we sense the image of a coronation in my work. The narrative and the mystery are at the centre and the question is posed: Who gains the power in the end, when all is said and done?
