The night sky has a special ability to arouse our curiosity and wonder. It is a fascination that is shared across civilisations and cultures and has had a significant impact on human cultural history. Light pollution is making the starry sky increasingly difficult to see, particularly in cities where emissions are the greatest. In my degree project, I have examined how a public space for stargazing might look. By creating a place that encourages the city\u2019s inhabitants to look upwards, I want to make stargazing accessible while also sending a reminder that the night sky is something we must preserve and protect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
