\nThe Rites of Manhood examines how objects and spaces contribute to gender affirmation. The spatial installation is activated through a performance which is an interpretation of the Freemasons’ initiation rite. The project highlights the performative nature of masculinity within men’s clubs, but also in society in general.

\nThe Sports Fans Newsstand\u2019s owner and operator, I, Lindsay Baker, will sit at the Newsstand and talk women\u2019s sports with anyone who will listen! It is an interactive performance so get ready to participate, ask questions, teach me something I don\u2019t know (which is quite a lot) or learn something new. I look forward to shooting the breeze with you! And you can buy something while you\u2019re at it, but unlike most newsstands, I welcome loitering. New news every day!
